BodyBugg Review

Here is how the BodyBugg works... Being the advanced calorie estimation device that it is, instead of using a single sensor that measures your heart rate or how many steps you have taken, the Bodybugg has four unique sensors monitoring your body’s calorie burn.

First, just like a pedometer the accelerometer sensor measures motion, the Heat Flux sensor measures the amount of heat your body is putting off, the Galvanic Skin Response sensor measures your skin conductivity, and the Skin Temperature sensor keeps track of your body temperature at any given time.

Using the data these sensors provide, the Bodybugg then considers your gender, age, weight, and height to give you the most accurate measurement of your calorie burn available outside of a clinical setting. In fact, this system is proven to be over 90% accurate.

The thing that I like the most about the BodyBugg is that you can figure out how many calories that you have burned over the course of time or more specifically, during one physical activity. The formatted data that the online software provides after pulling in the raw data is unbelievable.

You simply set your goals and tell it what you ate, and after downloading the day's data regarding calories consumed you can get an accurate picture of where you stand goal-wise. If you are off the mark just a bit for the day, it will tell you to take a brisk walk for 10 minutes to make up for the last bit of calories that you need to burn. Amazing!
